Empirical

Is there an age distribution associated with the two following ways of redistributing amusing[1] or interesting[2] material via email?

  1. Email a URL.
  2. Email a copy of the material.

Maybe the length of time since the earliest exposure to web browsers and email is a factor?

Ideas?

[1] I have no grasp of what amusing means any more.[3]

[2] Interesting is slipping through my grip as well.[3]

[3] I hope you noticed that I avoided using scare quotes.

Dilemna

Is something only crappy because it is wholly crappy?

What about something that is close to being good, but is a bit crappy?

If the latter is crappy, which is crappier?

Secret

I used to believe that bakelite was made from fungus.

Now I know that it is made of nostalgia.

Imprimatur

I would also have accepted:

Or:

Or:

But maybe not:

Or:

What about you?

Update:

Annette suggests:

I don’t know if she’s pro or con on this one though.

Your Move, Grandma

The game’s aim is to place letter cards to form real words.

Fashion Statement

Many of the girls I see walking around the Queen Street Mall are trying so hard to trowel on the current look that they have wrapped around and resemble transvestites.
