Psychological Comedy/Light Drama: Roald Dahl’s “Tales of the Expected”. In each episode there’s a build up of nasty people being appalling and far-fetched coincidences and at the end there’s the twist where everything turns out pretty much as it would in the real world.

This evening I went shopping for groceries. I bought some serves-one-person pre-cooked pasta and some serves-one-person pasta sauce. The packaging is careful to note that the contents serve-one-person.
I think that the manufacturers could go further within the serves-one-person niche, with serves-one-person pasta and pasta sauce being specifically targetted at:
- Widows, widowers.
- Priests, nuns, monks, etc.
- Losers.
Your thoughts?

I like to be in a band that is described in the street press as Kraftwerk with mushy peas.
Or squeezy cheesy peas.
P.S. Bands say they’re influenced by other bands. I can’t usually find a sense of influence that helps me to understand the implied connection. Ideas?

Some people, and I count myself among them, get receding hair lines as they age.
There are also some people whose lips recede over time, going from full lips to mean little lips.
Peter Davison is a good example. He has gone from having a normal amount of lips to having increasingly mean little lips.
It looks like this is happening to me as well. In a few years, my mouth will look like a neat appendectomy scar. Just you see.

Two people and they’re going away.
Is the movie crap? Are the sneak previews crap? Is the person holding the phone unpalatable in some way?
Is this an ad for social isolation?
(I won’t be doing any more of these. I’m beginning to think that age is tearing me from the world.)

They could have stopped after the first two lines and still been accurate.

Is there an age distribution associated with the two following ways of redistributing amusing[1] or interesting[2] material via email?
- Email a URL.
- Email a copy of the material.
Maybe the length of time since the earliest exposure to web browsers and email is a factor?
Ideas?
[1] I have no grasp of what amusing means any more.[3]
[2] Interesting is slipping through my grip as well.[3]
[3] I hope you noticed that I avoided using scare quotes.

I’d like to see manga artists do the covers for classic books.
Particularly David Copperfield.
Maybe hentai for Proust. Get the punters in.
